Yukari Matsumoto / BK49

Amsterdam

After long term of ‘Research and Survival’, I am glad to open the door to show my first offsprings inspired by Arts and Crafts movement, my exploring of possibilities of the art in/from everyday life and craftsmanship from past to present. The works are reflections of my questioning what the industrialization and the fast conveyance of information changed our life, how the modernism bounded together into those two terms, and my fascination for the loveliness and the warmth of human scale of productions. The questions are still open, and it will be going along with me, yet I am very grateful for this opportunity to share my new steps.
